Romantic Suspense

So I signed up for the July TBR challenge, which is to read a Romantic Suspense title.

No problems, right? Well, no. Except for the fact that I have only read a couple of romantic suspense titles, and have very little romantic suspense on my TBR pile. There are a couple, although I am not terribly inspired to read them at the moment. So, I am seeking recommendations.

Which romantic suspense titles should I be reading?

  1. I think you have read more than me. I have read J.D. Robb. That's it...

  2. I have a few Linda Howards I got from the USB recently. I plan to read one of those. I hear if you like J. D. Robb, chances are you'll probably like LH too. I always hear good things about her books though this will be my first time actually reading her. :)

  3. There's a real wide range to choose from :) JD Robb and Linda Howard are good bets. I'm really loving the Crazy series by Tara Janzen and the Cindy Gerrard books. Susan Anderson has some good ones. Or how about Shannon McKenna? Then there is Anne Stuart who has written a few excellent RS. Also Theresa Weir has some older books that are very good.

  4. I don't know exactly what makes a RS story a RS story, but you could try Superstition by Karen Robards. It's suspense/mystery with a love story between the heroine and the detective. Ooooo....

  5. I think you should read Thicker Than Water by Maggie Shayne or Depth Perception by Linda Castillo. Both were excellent and qualify for RS. ;)

  6. I don't know why really, but I didn't really consider the JD Robb books as romantic suspense! I have already done one JD Robb book as a TBR challenge book...maybe I should try to complete all the TBR challenges for the rest of the year with JD Robb books, and somehow make them fit the criteria! LOL!!

Thanks for the suggestions...I am off to spend time on Amazon and my library website to see which ones I can find!

I have read one Shannon McKenna and quite liked it, but there are no more available in the library at the moment!
