Woo-hooo

Some time ago I posted asking the question, how much is too much to pay for a book. That initial post was in response to the fact that I hadn't been able to find a reasonably priced copy of The Wild Hunt by Elizabeth Chadwick! Yesterday I put in a bid on Ebay...and I won! I'm very excited!!

Fast forward a week, and the book has already arrived from England and it seems to be in really, really good condition! Now I just need to fit it into the reading schedule somewhere!!

  1. Ebay is great huh? I have bought some can't-get-anywhere-else-books on there and they have all arrived safe and in really good condition. And quickly.
Yes grab 'em when you can and ready then at YOUR leisure.

  2. It is great...although I am making sure that I am not getting addicted to it!

  3. Glad you got your copy! I'm feeling really pleased with myself now - I picked up a copy of Wild Hunt at my local library last year for one euro!! (About 1.25 US dollars)

  4. Well I've never heard of title or author but if you went through all that I hope you enjoy it.

  5. Congrats on the Ebay win! I never have patience enough for those things. Plus I always feel I'll end up paying too much just so I can win. LOL.

  6. I try to be strict with myself as to what my top bid is, although there have been a couple of times where I have spent more than I wanted.

  8. LOL Mailyn! I'm like that too. Sometimes I get TOO caught up in winning and I'll bid too much. Then I'll sit there praying someone is stupid enough to outbid me. Hehe. Now I mostly use the "buy it now" feature 'cause I hate waiting too 'cause, what if I find the book I want elsewhere?

Anyway, glad you got your book! I just recently bought a hard-to-find book myself (using "Buy it Now" lol) that I couldn't seem to find anywhere else for a resonable price. Ebay is so great like that. ;-)
