I have been really bad at doing meme's I have been tagged for lately (I promise they are all in draft at various stages of completion!), but this one was pretty easy so when I was tagged by Darla, I thought I could do it pretty much straight away!
161 & 5 Book Meme
Rules
1. Grab the book closest to you
2. Open it to page 161
3. Find the fifth full sentence
4. Post the text of the sentence to your blog
5. Don't search around for the coolest book you have, use the one that is really next to you
6. Tag five people to do this meme.
"They look fantastic, and I think that's more important than how they taste."
From Cherry Cheesecake Murder by Joanne Fluke.
Now...who to tag? I think most people have done this at some point or another, but I will go with Ana, Ana from Cosyworld, Kailana, Ames and Nath.
I'll fix the links when I get home! Have to go and pack ready for the flight!
Hey Marg - YUM! Love Cheesecakes..and the description of 5 setence look delicious ;)
ReplyDeleteIs Cherry Cheesecake Murder and comedy suspense?
Now that's a good sentence. :) Not only interesting, but a truism all on its own.
ReplyDeleteHave a great flight!
Julia, this book is part of the Hannah Swensen series of murder mysteries by Joanne Fluke.
ReplyDeleteDarla...there's certainly something to ponder there!
I just tried this with the book I am reading at the moment (The Killing Dance - Laurell K Hamilton):
ReplyDelete"They moved."
I like it!
Not a bad sentence! I'm not sure why it made me hungry. Possibly, it was actually the name of the book?
ReplyDeleteI just realized you're in Melbourne! Can you recommend any terrific bookstores? Hubby is going to be passing through Melbourne and I told him he has to bring back the Ellie Chronicles books (possibly a set of the entire Tomorrow When the War Began series) and anything else that suits my whims, since he's not bothering to take me along.
ReplyDeleteMarg - I went on search for information on Hannah Swensen's series of murder mysteries by Joanne Flake...and reading reviews and author's website, it sound like it'll be fun read. I'm big fan of series book, so I'm gonna try this book :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNot only do the book titles sound scrumptious...there are actually loads of yummy sounding recipes included in each book as well!
ReplyDeleteBookfool, there are quite a few of the Australian chain stores in the centre of Melbourne, as well as Borders. To be honest I don't buy that many mainstream books from bookstores. They are pretty expensive here. Are you sure you can't get what you are after from The Book Depository? Free postage to the US!!!
I've been tagged!! I promise to do it soon :-)
ReplyDeleteI was tagged and I just posted my meme! :-)
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm gonna do this!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for tagging me. :P
I forgot all about The Book Depository. When I've been there, in the past, I had no specific titles in mind. Thanks!
