Library Loot: March 31 to April 6

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and me that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

Eva is on holidays this week, so I have the Mr Linky again! Having just got back from a short vacation myself, I didn't have much chance to pick many books up myself so only a little bit of loot for me.

Add your loot post to Mr Linky so we can all see what you got!

This was my very small loot:

The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen - I really enjoy Sarah Addison Allen's writing, and it is perfect for vacation reads, so I actually picked this one up on my way to my holiday destination, and read it while I was away. The worst thing about that is now I have to wait for a long time before the next book from this author.

Cradlesong by Rob Thomas - I went and saw Rob Thomas in concert a few weeks ago and I had actually requested weeks before this but it took a long time to come in.

When I blogged about going to see Rob Thomas I mentioned that he had surprise guests - INXS! The crowd went absolutely nuts, and the two songs that they did together were completely awesome, so I was looking for a song off the album to put here, but instead I give you Never Tear Us Apart sung by Rob Thomas, but featuring INXS

  3. I saw that book in Borders and wanted it solely for the cover. Shameless I know! By the way, Rob Thomas is great. You had a good week. :)

  4. Porcelaine, I have seen Rob Thomas twice and Matchbox Twenty once. I would go again next time he comes too! Guess you could say I am fan!

Zibilee, I really enjoy Sarah Addison Allen's writing style! Try and read one of them and see what you think!

Cat, we did. Thank you! Have to do one day of work and then get another four days off! Will be a shock when I have to do a full week of work in a couple of weeks time.

  7. Hope you had a good holiday. I loved The Girl Who Chased the Moon! I'm the same as you, now I have to wait for the next one. Sometimes I wish she'd write a real chunkster so we get more.

  8. I've only read one of Sarah Addison Allen's books so far (her first), but I'm dying to read the other two! Enjoy!

  9. I love Rob Thomas and INXS. I would have loved to have seen them perform together. Now that INXS kicked J.D Fortune out of the group I guess they are looking for a new lead singer.

  10. Kathleen, I am not really sure what they are doing for a lead singer now. I think that they are releasing an album with all different people doing the singing (hence the Rob Thomas involvement) but after that I have no idea.

Avisannschild, I've really liked all of them. Now I have to wait for the next one!

Darlene, maybe we will just have to reread until the next one comes out! Not that I do many rereads normally!

  11. This is my first Library Loot post - thanks for hosting such a great meme! Think The Girl Who Chased the Moon is such a wonderful title, been considering adding it to my TBR pile. I think Rob Thomas is brilliant too, so down to earth...
