Library Loot: July 27 to August 2

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

Perfect Play by Jaci Burton - As soon as I saw this book I knew that I had to read it, and all the other covers are pretty damned good! Funniest thing was the look on my 12 year old son's face when he saw it! I've already read this one.

The Temptation of Angelique by Sergeanne Golon - The next book in the Angelique series.

Fools Rush In by Kristan Higgins - I had to get this one ILL'd in from another library as my library only has a couple of her books.

Novel in the Viola by Natasha Solomons - This is reloot. I loved Mr Rosenblum's List so want to read this one!

A Friend for Grace by Sofie Laguna - This is the second book in the 1808 series of Our Australian Girl. I intend to post about this series at some point in time.

Meet Letty by Alison Lloyd - This is also part of the Our Australian Girl series, but is set in 1861.

The Kommandant's Girl by Pam Jenoff - Pam Jenoff is one of those authors who I am pretty confident that I will love, and have been for a while, but have never quite gotten around to actually reading her books!

What loot did you get this week? Share your link to your Library Loot post below:

  1. I picked up The Kommandant's Girl by Pam Jenoff ages ago at a book sale, but haven't read it yet. I have read Hidden Things, which was good. I hope to get to her other books soon.

  2. I'm really eager to read The Novel in the Viola. I'm trying to be as patient as possible as I wait in the hold queue but it's not easy when I keep seeing glowing reviews for it!

  3. Enjoy your books! I agree about Pam Jenoff, but never read her before either.

  4. wow @ that 'perfect play' cover :P hahaha :P :O looks intense!

    yay for rosenblum! :)

i want to link my loot but.. *sigh*.. livejournal is DOWN :( :( :( :(

  5. I remember reading a little commentary on The Kommandant's Girl and hope that you enjoy it. I will be eager to see what you think of it because I had been considering adding it to my collection. All the others are new to me, but I hope that you enjoy them!

  6. The cover of Perfect Play is hot! The Kommandant's Girl looks good. Enjoy your loot!

  7. Mmm, a very nice cover on that first selcetion, I must say! Also, I believe in embarassing one's children so, you know, you can't go wrong with that. ;O)

  8. Nice cover on No 1!!!

I have The Novel in the Viola on my list too.

    Enjoy your loot!

  9. I know what you mean about Pam Jenoff. I've come so close to bringing home one of her books from the library. At some point, it will happen. It's just so easy to get distracted by other also appealing books.

  10. My thinking is if the guy looks that cut, he's not got much time for anything else but exercise.

  11. Hope you enjoy you're reading!

Oh, and am I the only one who thinks the woman's hand placement is just a tad bit odd on The Temptation of Angelique?

  12. I've been waiting to read The Kommandant's Girl for a while! I'm eager to find out if Pam Jenoff is as good as we expect she is!
