Library Loot: September 7 to 13

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
Only one library book for me this week!

In My Skin:a Memoir by Kate Holden - this is my next book club book. I am not sure I would have ever picked it to read by myself!

What loot did you get this week? Share your link in Mr Linky below so that we can all have a look at the loot that you picked up this week!

  1. Actually picked up a Stephen king and a book on curries myself this week

  2. I got my Book Depository order of Hazel Rowley's Franklin and Eleanor. Quiet for me too because my reading is very slow at present.

I've read In my skin and her sequel (latter reviewed on my blog). In my skin was fascinating and I've often talked about it from the point of view of addiction and her several attempts to kick it. But I find her a little hard to comprehend because her decisions are so far out of my ken!

  3. This is my first time making post for Library Loot. Forgot to make any comments. Will next time.

  4. I haven't ever heard of this book, but the cover intrigues me. I am going to have to check it out at some point, and will be eager to see if you like it, Marg! It looks like a very interesting read!

  5. I've read in my skin - very provocative-ish-like ? Hard to explain. I thought it was well written though! :) Was on one of my lists back in the day :P

  6. Since last week's Library Loot was August 31-September 6, shouldn't this week be September 7-13?

  7. Sounds interesting. I'll be interested to hear what you think. Only one for me too this week!

  8. Linda and Kailana, it's a bit weird only having one book!

Bonnie...I don't know. Probably. I got the end date wrong on the last post so it has thrown me for this one.

Book Worm Rebel, it's not a book I would have even thought about reading really.

Zibilee, guess I'll find out soon enough.

    Tea, welcome to Library Loot.

Whisperinggums, I think that is what I am a bit apprehensive about - whether I will be able to empathise enough with the decisions that she made.

Sean, we have an Italian cookbook out from the library at the moment.

  9. I kept my library haul pretty small this week as well.
