Library Loot: October 12 to 18

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

Last week I had quite a small loot comparatively speaking, but we are back to a more normal size this week!

Here's my loot:

Before I go to Sleep by SJ Watson - A month or so back there was a lot of buzz around about this title. It seems to have dropped off a bit lately, but it took this long to get to me!

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins - Yay! Lola. Have been waiting for this book for ages!

Blood Song by Rhiannon Hart - Rhiannon is a Melbourne author who I chat to on Twitter. As soon as I saw her book on the library catalogue I requested it.

Fool Moon by Jim Butcher - After rereading the first book in the Harry Dresden series I want to read my way through the rest of the series now. This is the second book.

Ridiculous Expectations: or how to Find a Prince by Merridy Eastman - I saw a review for Merridy Eastman's latest book. It seems as though this book was a good place to start reading her books!

Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik - This is my book club book for next month!

Clare has Mr Linky this week so head over to share your loot!

  1. Lola is awesome! I think I enjoyed it as much as Anna. And there's plenty of Anna & Etienne too, which is nice. Before I Go To Sleep is good as well.

  4. Damn it it can't be Wednesday again can it? I have Before I go to sleep on hold. I have Fool Moon in My collection, not to bad, though I do recall feeling though there was some anti science author voice creeping in (hard to tell).

  9. Kailana, will do!

Zibilee and Staci, I have heard lots of good things about Before I Go to Sleep.

Christina, I really hope I like that one!

Kerrie, from what I hear that would be a well deserved win. Have you read it?

Sean, it does seem to come around quickly every week doesn't it!

Linda, Angry Wives was very popular a few years ago but I never actually read it at the time.

Bree, I might just decide to read Lola on the weekend! Bugger the spreadsheet!

  11. I really enjoyed Before I Go To Sleep so I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it when you finish. I was thinking about checking out Fool Moon myself since finishing Storm Front has me craving more Dresden :) And I cannot wait to read Blood Song myself!

  13. It's been ages, but I remember how much I enjoyed Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons. I think I read it for a book club, as well.

And I really enjoyed Before I Go To Sleep. When you finish, you should give Turn of Mind a read, too. I love these "memory loss" novels.
