Teaser Tuesday: The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson

Every now and again I start a book that makes me regret the fact that I need to sleep, and where the day job gets in the way of my reading time. The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson is one of those books! I had previously only read one book by her, but I am quite prepared to declare that I am heading towards fandom with this book!

My teaser comes from page 188

Boo walked me to the door and out into the hall while Stephen got his coat and keys.

"I'm not one hundred percent sure that was a good idea," I heard Callum say.

Please note that this selection comes from a galley version of the book and therefore may be changed in the final version.

Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading. Head on over to find out all about it, and how to join in!

  19. Interesting teaser! Thanks for visiting my blog =)

  20. It's always great to be that absorbed by a book. Last I felt like that was when I was reading The Dreamer by Pam Munoz Ryan and Peter Sis. Truly riveting.

Here's my TT for the week:

  21. I have heard great things about this book! I really want to read it! Here's my TT: Mom Reads My Books!

  22. Hm. I've wondered about this book. I bought one of the authors other books and thought it was just very poorly written, so I haven't wanted to pick up another.

BUT the premise of this sounds good, and that teaser is great!

  23. I'm waiting to read this book.
Would love to read a couple more teasers from the book? That is, if it's still in your currently-reading pile until next tuesday;)

    Here's my teaser.
    Have a great day!

  24. The cover is interesting and I like your teaser. I'll have to check this book out. Thanks for sharing. If you get a chance, my teaser is here.
