Library Loot: February 15 to 21

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

Claire has Mr Linky this week, so head over to share your loot for this week.

Here's the loot that I got this week:

Regeneration by Pat Barker - I have been meaning to read the book that starts this trilogy for a long time. It fits perfectly for the War Through the Generations challenge (which is focussing on World War I) so I hope to read it.

Shalimar by Rebecca Ryman - A couple of months ago I read and enjoyed Olivia and Jai by this author. There is a sequel to that book but it is nowhere within the library system of my state. I thought that I would therefore check out this book, which is not connected to Olivia and Jai at all, instead.

Paris to the Past: traveling through French history by train by Ina Caro - I first heard about this book on a podcast and then forgot about it. I was recently browsing in a bookstore and saw it again and so promptly checked the library catalogue to see if they had it ... and they did.

Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich - reloot

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell - I have seen quite a few rave reviews of this book, and so thought I would give it a try myself.

Midwife of the Blue Ridge by Christine Blevins - I have recently read both The Tory Widow and The Turning of Anne Merrick. This was her first book.

  1. Great pile of books there Marg. I'm only up to #3 in the Stephanie Plum series, but have really enjoyed the first two in the series.
I've just ordered myself a copy of Attachments because of the great reviews i've come across of late.
    Happy reading :-)

  2. Rob has 2/3 of the Regeneration trilogy, but I don't think he's read them yet.

You know my thoughts on Explosive Eighteen... lol. When does OFTM start? Did you want to go see that?

Attachments! Yay, hope you like that one.

    1. Leya, I have heard that the Regeneration trilogy is quite bleak but that's okay some times.

    1. It sounds like an interesting premise for a book so hopefully it will be good.
