Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
Wednesday night is normally my library night, but I am resisting tonight as I didn't have anything to drop off. Of course, there are books there to pick up but they can wait for the weekend...maybe!
Instant Temptaton by Jill Shalvis - the final book in the Wilder series. I actually read it on Saturday night. I can't seem to leave this author's books sitting on the TBR shelf too long.
The Crown by Nancy Bilyeau - I very nearly had an impending review deadline disaster with this book! I had a copy of the book from Netgalley and I had diligently written down the date that I needed to write my review down on my spreadsheet. What I forgot to take into consideration was that the egalley expired a couple of days before that! I therefore started reading it when there was only one day left which would have been fine as long I didn't switch my ereader off. So when it jammed on the way home, I had to rush to the library to pick up a copy so that I could read the last 100 pages in time to write my review!
The Most Wicked of Sins by Kathryn Caskie - I read the first book in this trilogy a while ago.
Earthly Delights by Kerry Greenwood - I have read quite a few of the Phryne Fisher books by this author but have never read any of her Corinna Chapman books. I was saving them until after I finished Phryne, but now that one of my bookclubs has chosen the first book of both series as the March read I guess I will read it now.
The Girl in Steel Capped Boots by Loretta Hill - Rural lit seems to be quite big in Australian publishing at the moment. I haven't read any for years so it will be interesting to see how I like this one, especially as I seem to have a few more coming up in the next couple of months.
Cocaine Blues by Kerry Greenwood - Chosen by my bookclub as mentioned above. This will be a reread for me.
Mateship with Birds by Carrie Tiffany - I read Carrie Tiffany's debut novel a few years ago and liked it quite a bit so I was pleased to see that she had a new one coming out.
