Library Loot: March 6 to 13

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
I had to make a rush visit to the library tonight to ensure that I had any loot to share. Well, that and the fact that I got a phone call from the library telling me I had more than the number of hold requests allowed so did I need them to SMS me when the books arrived. After I explained that I actually had less than the limit until they added some newly ordered books to my hold list, they let it go...this time!

A quick visit to the library tonight means that I now have some space, although not for long as I did intend to request a couple of other books tonight!

Here's what I picked up:

Chu's Day by Neil Gaiman - For reasons that aren't altogether clear to me, I have only read a short story collection of Neil Gaiman's adult books. I have, however, read quite a few of his children's books! This one looks so cute, I couldn't resist!

The Case of the Deadly Butter Chicken by Tarquin Hall - the next Vish Puri mystery (and a potential Weekend Cooking read!)

Lighthouse Bay by Kimberley Freeman - A couple of years ago Kimberley Freeman's book Wildflower Hill was getting quite a lot of good reviews. I read it and liked it too. I was surprised to find out that this book had been out for a while because I haven't heard much about it at all!

Powerful Italian, Penniless Housekeeper by India Grey  - Recently Susanna Kearsley wrote a post about why she reads romance and used a passage from this book as one of her examples so I thought I would give it a go. I had to get it from interlibrary loan though.

What loot did you get this week? Add your link to Mr Linky below:
