What to do

I had actually planned to go to work for a whole week this week - an unusual concept I am sure, but what with visitors from interstate, days off and training courses I haven't actually done a full week for quite some time.

Note the past tense - *had planned*. My boy is sick and I have just got a certificate for him to have the whole week off. Now I need to figure out what to do with all this extra time at home.

I could read a few books. I could give the house a bit of a spring clean (I know it's autumn here but I am sure the concept is the same). I could catch up on all of my reviews. I could sort out my bookshelves.

Actually I could do a lot of things. So why is it that the only thing I actually feel like doing is going and having an afternoon nap!

  1. Hi Marg,

I hope you took that nap!! Naps are essential for living a healthy life...:)

I love your blog. I don't often comment, but I read your entries as soon as my computer alerts me there is a new one. Just to let you know..

Hope Tomi will be better soon.

  2. Thanks Margreet!

It ended up being a sleep as opposed to a nap! LOL!

Little darling has shared his germs with me, so I suspect that there will be a few more of those during the week - following doctors advice...lots of bed rest and fluids!

  3. Awww, I'm sorry your boy is sick and has given it to you. Free time is one thing, being sick during your free time blows. (If you don't mind me saying)

Hope you and your son feel better!

  4. Hi Marg - Sorry to hear you and your son are sick again. I'm glad you took that nap, you would feel rest up and not feel ...blah! :)

By the way how do you use the alert option, so that I can be alert that you have something new on your blog? I love to read your entry everyday :)

  5. Julia, I used www.bloglines.com to keep track of any blogs that I want to keep track of.

Alternatively I have a yahoo group set up, but I generally only send reviews out to these people.

You can sign up at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/readingadventures/

  6. Hi Julia,

This is how I get the alert for a new post:

Marg's blog, and many others, have the RSS feature. You see it in the URL box at the top of the page. YOu click the RSS logo, and you will see that the URL changes, as well as the page you are reading. Now put this 'default' URL into your bookmarks setup. When you turn on your computer next time, it will show you if a new entry has been made. If you want to read the blog as it is meant to be, with the pictures and colors, just click RSS again. Hope this helps.

  9. Margreet - am trying to find the RSS logo you're talking about on Marg's blog. Where is it at the top?

Or should I just go ahead and sign up for at yahoo group that Marg set up?
