I was interested to see Twilight in number 2, and also Breathe at number 8. There were quite a few newer books in the list, but Breathe has only been released for a few months, so it is quite an achievement to end up on the list at all, let alone in the Top 10.

One noticable omission on the list is Outlander, which I am sure has been on the list for the last couple of years at least. Where is the Jamie love??

Thanks to Kat for the heads up!

  1. I want to read Breath. It's probably not surprising that there are so many new books if the poll was done this year. People tend to vote for the books they remember.

Interesting that My Sister's Keeper is at #5. From what I hear, it's a wallbanger for some people because of the ending.

And is that right? You haven't read Pride and Prejudice? *bug-eyed*

  2. I want to read Breath too. I guess it isn't that surprising, but then again for Favourite book ever?

I've read My Sister Keeper (review here, and was shocked by the ending, but don't know how else exactly she was going to be able to end the story any way. It will be interesting to see what they do with the movie ending.

As for the P&P question...shhhh! Don't tell anyone but I have never read any Jane Austen, or Bronte, or lots of other classics! I will get to the them eventually.

  3. Are these the 100 most popular for all time Marg? Not a lot there for crime fic. readers. Interesting to see The Shifting Fog on the list.

  4. As voted this year apparently. There are some interesting choices aren't there, and no, not much crime!
