New challenges!

I really am trying hard to resist signing up for too many challenges before 2009 starts, but some times you see challenges that you just have to join in on!

What that really means is that, yes, I have signed up for more challenges!

The first of them is The Art History Reading Challenge. The challenge is to read 6 books about art during 2009. I already have Passion of Artemesia by Susan Vreeland and Tulip Fever by Debbie Moggach on my TBR list, as well as a couple of others, so that should be doable.

The second is the War Through the Generations WWII Challenge. I love reading books set around WWI and WWII, so this one is right up my alley! You need to read at least 5 books set in or around WWII during 2009. I do have a couple in mind already. At this point I think I will probably sign up for 5 books, but I do hope to exceed that amount.

  1. Hi Marg! I was reading through your post and glanced over at my stack of CDs that I am going to download onto my iPod. One of them is Skeletons at the Feast (Bohjalian) and it is set "In January 1945, in the waning months of WWII...". Also have you read The Nazi Officer's Wife (Beer)? If you like reading that time period, then you probably have read them, but just thought I'd give you a shout. :)

  2. I haven't read either of those yet, although I do have the audiobook of Skeletons at the Feast out from the library at the moment.
