Victorian Reading Challenge

I think this is going to be the last challenge that I sign up for the short term future at least!

The Victorian Challenge is being hosted by Alex from Le Canape

The idea is to choose a level that you wish to achieve from the options below

* A drink at Whitechapel: 3 books
* A walk in Hyde Park: 4 books
* A tour of the British Museum: 5 books
* A visit to Buckingham Palace: 6 books

And then read that many books between 1 January and 30 June 2009. Your books must have either been written during the time of Queen Victoria's reign, or be set during this time! All the details can be found in the official welcome post here.

I have wimped out a little and chosen A Drink at Whitechapel. The books that I am planning to read are:

The Mysteries of Glass by Sue Gee
Silent in the Sanctuary by Deanna Raybourn
Silent on the Moor by Deanna Raybourn

  1. This sounds like a fun challenge. I'll have to see if I have anything in my TBR that would fit. Since I've never been to England, a drink at Whitechapel would be as nice to me as a visit to Buckingham Palace (unless the visit included tea with Prince William that is).
