Strange coincidence

I don't think I have ever read a book where people eat tulip bulbs. Yesterday, I read about it in two separate books! Admittedly one was an episode where it was eaten by accident, but I was most surprised when I read it again in the next book!

Tulips are my favourite flowers, but I don't think I will be eating them anytime soon.

  1. That would be a new one on me also. Never heard of someone eating a tuilip before.
    Tuilips are my favorite also.

  2. They're edible?! Really? I didn't know that. They're too pretty to be eaten in my opinion.

  3. Tulips are my favorite as well. Eating them? Really?

The kids in my class got to plant tulip bowls last Friday and the first signs of green have begun to show. They were very excited. :)

  4. I don't think that it would be highly recommendable to eat them, but I guess if there is nothing else then you do what you have to do.

  5. In Sara Allen Addison's book Garden Spells, the main character is a chef that uses edible flowers. Ever since I read it I've wanted to try edible flowers, maybe tulips are one?
