It is less than 2 hours before readathon commences which means lots of blog posts to read, some reading and some cheering, or at least it would if my weekend hadn't suddenly got really, really busy!

At this stage, I will be able to read for a while tonight, and then tommorrow morning for a few hours, but then I am going to a friends house tomorrow afternoon, and then to another friend's house for dinner, and would imagine that I will be getting back home around finishing time tomorrow night. So, I think I will get maybe 5 hours reading and cheering time and that's it.

At this point, my plan will be to finish the two books that I am currently reading, and then we will see how we go. Maybe a graphic novel, and potentially a romance.

In bad news, I think I have car trouble again. I have spent a fortune on my car this year, and I am thinking that I am going to have to spend more before the year is out.

  1. That's too bad that you aren't going to have time to read, but you sound like you are going to have a fun weekend anyways!

Sorry to hear about your car. I can so relate after the year my car has had, so I know how much it sucks!

  2. Sorry about the car. Hope you reach and exceed your reading goal though!

  3. Busy weekend for you, Marg! I didn't know the read-a-thon was only two hours away for you! Eek. I still have about 23 hours. I think I will be finishing up the current book I'm reading, but I'm not sure what else I'll pick up. Light and quick books, I hope :-)

So sorry about your car. Those things cost SO MUCH money.

  4. I hate car trouble. I hope it's easily fixed! Good luck with making time for the Read-a-thon, too. I can't wait to start!

  5. Good luck with the read-a-thon and with your car. I'm on a business trip (flying out today) and not back until Halloween so I won't be able to participate or cheer in the read-a-thon!

  6. Less than 2 hours?! I thought it started at the same time for everyone and it doesn't start for.. 18 hours here! *is highly confused now*

  7. Janicu, you aren't confused! I am the one who is confused! LOL!

    Thanks Kathleen. Enjoy your trip!

Meghan, I swear I have had more than my fair share of car troubles this year. Hopefully this won't be too expensive to fix.

Aarti, see here's the thing about read-a-thon. It's supposed to start at the same time for everyone!!! I just peaked a little early!

Thanks L Diane Wolfe. Now that I have the correct time for starting it looks like I will get a bit more reading done at least!

Kailana, if I could afford to buy a new car I would definitely think about it, but I think I will just have to keep on patching this one up.

  8. Good luck with the read-a-thon. I know how it is to constantly spend money on a car. It's exhausting. I hope everything works out. Have a great weekend.

  9. Oh good, I thought I was going to miss half the thing and I quickly checked the website and the start times again! :) Then I decided you must have meant less than 24 hours, not 2 hours! Phew!
