Sunday Salon: A weekend in pictures

I was away in Adelaide last weekend. The main reason for going was to celebrate my brother's 30th birthday but I was also able to catch up with friends, some of which I hadn't seen for nearly 18 years, my son got to see his dad and we went to the footy (yes, I called it footy just for you Nancy!). Fortunately the right team one, although it was a very close game.

I was all organised to go bookwise. I had my bookclub book all ready to go as my take off and landing book, and my ereader all loaded up with several books that I need to read. Turns out that the plane flight was the only time when I did actually get to read. I was too busy to read the rest of the time.

Here's my weekend in pictures, some of which have already been seen on Instagram and Twitter:

The birthday dinner! I was so full after the starter and these two courses and there was still the awesome birthday cake that my very talented sister made.

We have hired cars before in various places, but this was the first time I had seen of these stickers

Off to the footy!

Whoops! This isn't supposed to happen before the players run through the banner!

It was a pretty good weekend, and there are still plenty of people that I would have liked to see but didn't get to see! Maybe next time.

  1. It looks like you had a great time! I love the "drive on left" sticker. I would need that! Growing up in the US, I don't know that I could re-wire my brain to drive on the left side. LOL.

I'm intrigued by TIMELESS DESIRE. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

    1. Understandable! I would struggle if I have to drive on the right!

  3. As an American Australian I have always laughed at the sign to remember to drive on the left. It has been a real problem in Tasmania with Americans and Canadians in bad accidents on our narrow roads. Looks like you had a great time. Pam

    1. It is a good idea to have it in the hire cars for sure. I would be terrible if I had to sit on the other side of the car to drive and on the other side of the road!

    1. Sorry Sean! It was a very quick visit this time. I am half contemplating a week or so in summer, but that would mean staying with my mum which is.. you know...problematic
