Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I havent read but want to

Welcome to this week's edition of Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week the topic is Authors I Haven't Read but Want To! To be fair, I could have done many posts just on this theme, but let's start with these authors and just one book from their backlist that I think I shoud read.

Maggie O'Farrell - Hamnet is the  book that is calling me the most. I have purchased this on audiobook but haven't even downloaded it yet.

Karen Brooks - I own this one too.

Santa Montefiore - I currently have this book out from the library. We'll see if I actually read it.

C S Harris - I have owned this book for at least ten years....never read it.

Elizabeth Wein - I have lost count of how many times I have had Code Name Verity recommended to me, but I still haven't read it.

Carly Schabowski - I love this cover so much!

Fiona Davis - I am pretty sure when I do finally read Fiona Davis, I will love her.

Elin Hildebrand - and same for this author!

Fredrik Backman - One day I will get to this book

T J Klune - This book has been calling my name for a couple of years.

Would you recommend any of these authors to me, and if so, which of their books should I start with?

  2. I was so pleasantly surprised with Hamnet. It's a great novel! 28 Summers is also a good read, but more like a beach read than literature. I listened to that one on audio and thoroughly enjoyed it. A Man Called Ove is outstanding, as well. You have a lot of good books in your future!

  4. Fiona Davis's books are a lot of fun. I enjoyed Hamnet but wasn't as wowed as many reviewers seem to have been.

  5. I was surprised to find how much I enjoyed Hamnet. And not only have I read Fiona Davis, but I've met her at BookExpo in New York and found her to be a very nice person.

  7. I read What Angels Fear a few years ago and enjoyed it. You've reminded me that I still haven't continued with the rest of the series!

  9. I enjoyed CODE NAME VERITY when I read it, but that's the only one I've read by Wein. I also liked Backman's ANXIOUS PEOPLE. It's the only one I've read by him so far. I hope you enjoy all these authors when you get to them.

    Happy TTT!

  11. Oh where do I start?! Firstly, I have Hamnet out from our library at the moment. Intend to get to that soon and I'm excited to read it as it seems quite universally loved. Now for authors I have read: Code Name Verity is amazing, I loved that book. I've read 2 of T.J. Klune's books and adored them both! I have also read a couple of Santa Montefiore's books and found them enjoyable and one or two of Elin Hilderbrand's books as well. I haven't read A Man Called Ove but it's on my list to read this year as I read 2 other Fredrik Backman books and they are included in my all-time favourites.

  13. Code Name Verity is so good. I also loved A Man Called Ove. It starts slowly, but don't give up on it too quickly.

  14. Maggie O'Farrell and TJ Klune are two of my favorites (Hamnet and Cerulean Sea in particular). Code Name Verity is also really good. I hope you give these a try!

    1. Going to have to try to find time for these three authors I think.

  15. Code Name Verity will keep you up all night - it is that good. It is the kind of book you wish had another hundred pages but it's so intense that might have been more than you could endure.

C.S. Harris used to live in Australia but is now back in the US. I have read more of her Candice Proctor books but liked the first Sebastian St. Cyr book which I read during the pandemic.
