What a pain!

I catch the train to work everyday - about an hour and a quarter of reading time each way - normally a pretty uneventful journey, but I got back to the train station tonight to find that some idiots had smashed my car window, and that of the car in front of me. They stole a CD Walkman that I had, and emptied the contents of the glove box. Whilst it is annoying that they did this, it is more the inconvenience of having to wait for the police to decide if they are going to take fingerprints, and then get all the glass cleaned out of the car, and then get the window replaced. It is so cold and rainy here at the moment that I really can't leave it for much longer than a day to get fixed!

What a complete pain in the butt! Speaking of which, I think I got some glass in my butt, even though I sat on my jacket...which will now need to be thrown out I think. Ouch!

  1. Oh how awful! These nasty people don't have a clue how much they disturb people's life just to get a few bucks worth of material. I hope you can get a new window fast.

  2. Argh, so annoying. I've actually contemplated leaving the window open, so that they can search the car easily and realize I have nothing worth stealing, without having to break the glass.

  3. Oh man...that sucks! We had someone break into one of our back windows on Halloween a couple of years ago. What a mess! Then, you have to deal with all the insurance and stuff. Yuk!

  4. Aww, I'm sorry to hear this! This happened to my mom years ago. They broke the window and actually tried to steal the car but they couldn't do it. It's such a pain when people do this kind of stuff!

  5. That just sucks! People can be such idiots. Ugh. I had a friend whose car was keyed for no reason at all. A nice big scratch from front to back.

  7. Oh Marg, that is awful! I'm so sorry it happen to you. I just hope the police do fingerprint and catch the person who break in your car. My sister got her car break in once, they stole her favorite jean jacket and all her favorite CD she listen to often.

Let us know if the police caught the guy. Be safe out there, Marg :)

  9. I'm sorry to hear about your incident, Marg. It's such a pain when something like this happens, and even when they don't steal anything you still have to replace the window.
I also hope the rest of your week is much brighter!

  12. Oh, so sorry you have to go through that yuckiness. I've been robbed before and it's creepy to think of people going through your possessions. Hope the insurance bit goes smoothly.
