What's on Your Nightstand?

I was so pleased when this question was asked last month that something had actually moved off of the nightstand. Unfortunately I can't say the same thing this month! Instead the pile has grown.

Still on the nightstand are:

The Traitor's Wife by Susan Higginbotham
Archangel by Sharon Shinn
Mistletoe Kisses anthology
The Smoke Thief by Shana Abe
Dagger-Star by Elizabeth Vaughan
Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh
Just One of the Guys by Kristin Higgins

New books on the nightstand are:

Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas
Mr Cavendish, I Presume by Julia Quinn
Many Bloody Returns anthology

The last one is the book that I am currently reading.

  1. Don't feel so bad, I have a shelf and a box of books I want to read, but have not gotten to them. My hobby is collecting books and yet I feel I have no time to read.

  3. Those are good books. I'm interested to hear what you think of Archangel and The Smoke Thief. I'm envious of your Mr Cavendish.

BUT I just read the latest CL Wilson (it's still on my nightstand, however), so I'm feeling quite smug.

  4. Kat, I haven't even read the first CL Wilson yet.

Gabriel, I am impressed that you have HTML books on your nightstand. That would be guaranteed to put me to sleep!

  5. hmmm...being an Aussie, have you ever read any of Tim Winton novels? I love Cloud Street. I was an avid reader, but getting too lazy nowadays. Now I just download the audio versions or buy the CD's. Great for driving long distances.

  6. My nightstand is covered in dust, old batteries, jewelry boxes, kid's swimming badges needing sewn on tow towels and about £2 in coppers. The books are buried on the floor under the pile of laundry. I am a dirty slut.

  13. With a small boy whose knack for doing the unimaginable to anything he gets his hands on, it's a big NO-NO to leave a book lying around. Everything needs to be out of reach! Anyways, I don't have much time to read anymore. During my younger years, I was a voracious reader! Now, the only reading time I get is when I'm in the bathroom taking a dump! So I guess the right question for me is "What's in the john?" Well, currently it's Phil Jackson's "More Than a Game".

  14. On my nightstand is "Come on In!" by Charles Bukowski. I like to sneak a poem in before I go to sleep and sometimes in the morning before work.

  15. I know the feeling. I typically have between five and ten books in my reading queue at any one time.

  16. I have lived in the lap of luxury this morning! I was able to stay in bed and read the rest of my book! But Don Quixote still sits waiting to be read through. I started, it's funny, but I just can't make myself read it when I go to bed.... Agatha Christie has been my author of choice lately though I'll read just about anything in between. Read "Brisingr" yet? You should. Awesome book!

  17. bigsis, I actually haven't read any of those books! I own the first one, and have done for years!

Nathan, my TBR list is a whole other matter. My library books are on a bookshelf in another room!

Rob, poetry is one thing that I don't tend to read at all.

nonomaca, I understand exactly where you are coming from!

J Kaye, thank Ana! I hadn't even realised it was time yet!

Kate and Marc thanks for stopping by!

Kellezie, I loved The Time Traveller's Wife. Big ugly crying at the end of the book though!

Lyvvie, I totally understand! I have done my version of cleaning up today. Not sure that others would think I am done...but I pretty much am!

Lilly, I love listening to audio books. The only Tim Winton book I have read is The Riders. I do intend to read more eventually.
