Even with my recent cut in reading time due to my much reduced commute, I think I will most likely still get through 100 books next year. It will be much more of a challenge to do so though.
Bearing that in mind, this is my sign up post for J Kaye's 2010 100+ Reading Challenge. Once we get to January, I will set up a post which will be my list of reads for the year. Hopefully we will meet the target of 100 books. Here are the rules as adapted from J Kaye's blog post announcing the challenge.
1. The goal is to read 100 or more books. Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate. (To learn how to sign up without having a blog, click here.)
2. Audio, Re-reads, eBooks, YA, Library books, Young Reader, Nonfiction – as long as the book has an ISBN or equivalent or can be purchased as such, the book counts.
3. No need to list your books in advance. You may select books as you go. Even if you list them now, you can change the list if needed.
4. Crossovers from other reading challenges count.
5. Challenge begins January 1st thru December, 2010. Books started before the 1st do not count.
6. When you sign up under Mr. Linky, put the direct link to your post where your books will be listed. Include the URL to this post so that other viewers can find this fun challenge. If you’d prefer to put your list in the sidebar of your blog, please leave your viewers the link to the sign up page. Again, so viewers can join the challenge too.

ReplyDeleteMy, you're ambitious. I haven't read more than 70 books for the past few years and this year it's going to be more like 50 - although it's true I don't count re-reads or research and books I don't finish.

ReplyDeleteActually, if I only get to 100 it will be a big drop. A couple of years ago I read 237. This year I might make 150 if I am lucky.
